Dixie Films is in production for THE HOMELESS DOCUMENTARY PROJECT, a feature documentary film about the Homeless in America.

Real-life Mother/Son filmmaking team Jack Truman and Opal Dockery travel across the country, visiting the top Homeless states and cities in America. Through extensive footage, interviews and stories with subjects, experts and locals, in a no-budget, underground filmmaking style, Truman and Dockery hope to open people's eyes to this epidemic to help trigger change worldwide.

About the Directors:
 
JACK TRUMAN is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, director and 30 year veteran of stage and film. A former college professor at Texas A&M, his films have screened at over 400 film festivals worldwide to date. He has a Master's degree in Communications and a Bachelor's degree in Business.
 
Opal Dockery is an award-winning actress, writer, poet and speaker. A former burlesque dancer for over 20 years, she is the author of many books, including the inspirational autobiography THOUGHTS OF A STRIPPER: A Mother's Story. Ms. Dockery has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice. She has been a vegetarian/vegan for over 40 years, and is an animal rights activist.
